Pay, leave & benefits
- JIB-graded pay scale. Every role mapped to the Joint Industry Board grade for fair, transparent rates.
- Pension. Employer contribution from day one - rate confirmed in your offer letter.
- Holiday. Statutory minimum plus extra service-based days - see your contract.
- Sick pay. Company sick-pay scheme above SSP, subject to length of service.
- Tools & PPE. Company-issued PPE, branded workwear and full personal tool kit. Replacements through your project manager.
- Vehicle. Marked company vans for engineers; EV transition in progress where charging makes operational sense.
Training & certifications
VoltSecure is registered for funded apprenticeships in electrical installation and FESS (Fire, Emergency & Security Systems). All engineers hold or are working toward the certifications below:
- ECS Gold or relevant grade card
- BS 7671 (18th Edition) qualification, where applicable
- BAFE SP203-1 modules for fire-system roles
- FIA / Skills for Security CPD on rolling cycle
- Manufacturer training (HikVision, Paxton, Texecom, Advanced, etc.) - booked through your project manager
Renewal reminders go out automatically 90 days before any certification expires. Don't wait for the email - flag it to the office as soon as you know.
What we expect, day to day
- Compliance is the standard, not the ceiling. Every job delivered to the relevant British / European Standard, every certificate signed off properly.
- Tidy site, tidy paperwork. Sites are left as we found them or better; documentation is uploaded the same day, not at month-end.
- Speak up. If something on site looks wrong, off-spec, or unsafe - stop work and call your PM. We'd rather lose an hour than create a defect.
- Look after each other. Apprentices learn from engineers, engineers learn from each other. Mentoring is part of the job, not a side task.
