Information for material suppliers, manufacturer partners and specialist subcontractors
How we work with our supply chain.
Our installations are only as good as the kit, materials and specialist trades that go into them. We work with a small, stable supply chain - we'd rather pay fairly and pay on time than chase the cheapest quote and create rework downstream.
This page covers what we look for, what to expect from us, and how to register interest.
What we buy
- Fire detection & alarm equipment. Advanced, Hochiki, Apollo, Hyfire and similar BS 5839-compliant manufacturers.
- Intruder, CCTV & access control. HikVision, Paxton, Texecom, Honeywell, Avigilon - and accredited distribution partners.
- Aspirating fire detection. Specialist VESDA / Aspirating Smoke Detection product and consumables.
- Electrical wholesale. Cable, containment, accessories and switchgear from established UK wholesalers.
- Specialist subcontract trades. Civils, builders work, structured cabling, scaffold & access where the scope sits outside our in-house disciplines.

Becoming a supplier - the process
01
Email us
A brief introduction of your business, accreditations and the products / trades you'd like to supply.
02
Pre-qual pack
We'll send a short pre-qualification pack - insurances, accreditations, key policies, two trade references.
03
Onboarding
Once approved, we set you up on our system, agree payment terms and add you to the active panel for relevant work packages.
04
Annual review
We re-check insurances and accreditations annually, plus an open conversation on what's working and what isn't.
What you can expect from us
- Clear scope. Drawings, specifications and method statements supplied before you quote, not after.
- Fair pricing. We don't beat suppliers down on margin - we'd rather have stable partners.
- Prompt payment. 30 days end-of-month as standard. Faster terms negotiable for SMEs and apprenticeship-led suppliers. We are signatories of the Prompt Payment Code in spirit and reviewing formal sign-up.
- One point of contact. A named project coordinator handles every order so you're not chasing different people.
- Honest feedback. If something didn't go right, we'll say so directly - and we'd ask the same of you.
Our standards apply to your work too
If you're delivering on a VoltSecure project you carry our standards onto the site. That means:
- Compliance with the relevant British / European Standard for the discipline (BS 7671, BS 5839, BS EN 62676, PD 6662, BS EN 60839 etc.).
- Full RAMS (risk assessment & method statement) submitted and reviewed before mobilisation.
- Adherence to our Modern Slavery statement, fair labour practices and any client-specific framework requirements.
- Tidy site, clean handover, photos and certificates uploaded the same day - not at month-end.
Invoicing
Invoices should reference the purchase order number issued by VoltSecure and be sent to admin@voltsecure.co.uk. Invoices without a valid PO will be held for query.
