VoltSecure® Ltd ("VoltSecure", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and the services we provide. We are registered in England & Wales. Our registered office and contact details are at the end of this notice.
When you contact us through the quote form, by email or by phone, we collect the information you provide - typically your name, employer, email address, phone number and the details of your enquiry. When you visit the site we receive standard server logs (IP, user-agent, referrer, page) and the analytics data described in our cookie policy.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.
We rely on contract when you ask us for a quote or appoint us; legitimate interest for replying to general enquiries, securing the site and improving content; and legal obligation for accounting, tax and statutory record-keeping.
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 24 months. Project records, invoices and certificates are kept for the minimum period required by HMRC, our insurers and the standards bodies we are accredited by - typically 6 years from project completion.
We share data only with processors who help us run the business: our email provider, the form-handling service that delivers website enquiries to our inbox, our accountant, and the certification bodies whose schemes we work under (BAFE, NICEIC, SSAIB, ECA). All are contracted under appropriate data-protection terms.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict our processing. To exercise any of these, email admin@voltsecure.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Some of our processors are based outside the UK. Where they are, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, or an adequacy decision.
